Our package tour includes a scenic and safe helicopter flight over the Grand Canyon AND and a full day guided van tour of the National Park at the South Rim (includes lunch and beverages). Experience a longer and truly BREATHTAKING helicopter tour over the Grand Canyon (45-50 minute flight on the luxurious Eco Star). After takeoff you will fly east on the South Rim and then north along the Eastern Rim where you have unsurpassed views of the Colorado River and the Little Colorado River Confluence. You then fly up and over the North Rim viewing the terrain below looking south over the canyon. Your trip concludes with a stunning flight over the Dragon Corridor. Shortly after pick up for the Grand Canyon Tour you will be walking onto the pine-forested ledges of the first outdoor viewpoint. For many, this is a first view of Grand Canyon, so time is allowed just take it all in. Then there will be an introduction to the trees, shrubs, wildflowers, and wildlife of the Canyon. At this overlook, your guide will pick out many of the distant features of the canyon. Your guide will lead a brief session on Grand Canyon rocks and their ages, using real rock specimens. Here also, your guide will piece together the four eras of Grand Canyon history and the rocks that were left at the end of each chapter. After lunch we will explore some of the Painted Desert and examine the petrified remains of ancient trees. In addition, at a roadside stand, a Navajo Native American will speak with us about the Navajo culture.
